Rev. Rochelle Toyer

Reverend Rochelle Toyer is a native Washingtonian. She is a graduate of Hampton University, NOVA ( Ft. Lauderdale) & Howard School of Divinity. Reverend Toyer has combined her undergraduate degree in Sociology & graduate degrees in Criminal justice & Divinity with over 25 years of service in social service settings, where she honed her skills as a family counselor & drug treatment specialist.

Reverend Toyer is a certified Addictions counselor & licensed Professional Counselor, known for her passion & calling to work with youth & adults from underserved populations. Her years of training & experience in anger management & peer mediation has been an asset in working with clients from a variety of backgrounds.

Reverend Toyer is also an ordained Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, and has served faithfully in a number of ministries at Jerusalem, & Mt. Sinai AME churches since 1999. She is particularly known for her dedication to outreach ministries. Rev. Toyer has recently joined the ministerial staff of Hunter AME church where she is the Director of Christian Education & provides leadership to their newly established Saturday Academy.

Reverend Rochelle Toyer joined the staff of Baraka & Associates in 2006. She serves as our expert in addictions treatment & anger management.
